Skylar Jones

I chose UAB because I wanted a place that felt like a family. I wanted to find a school that could bring out different abilities in me that I never knew I had. There is something for everyone to get involved in and that was really important to me when looking for a college. I also wanted to meet different people from different walks of life and UAB welcomes and prides itself diversity and inclusion.

The best class I have taken at UAB is Bioethics. I really enjoy talking to people and hearing their views on different topics and this class was heavily discussion based. We were able to talk about different events that have occurred in the world and explain our point of view on them. My professor was also really funny so it made the class a great experience.

My biggest college/adult related fear that u have overcome at UAB is choosing to find things that I enjoy even if other people don’t enjoy it or I have to do it alone. I think it is very important to find things that make you happy and that you are passionate about. I have had such a great experience learning and finding out what I am passionate about and it has helped me grow over the last 3 years.
